The Arborist's Dream

Another "inverted lens" image taken with a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera.
This image was taken at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus, MA.
Lots of scratches from respooling the incredibly fragile Arista.edu film onto a 620 reel.

  1. Dream or nightmare? How do you respool? I do mine in-camera. It's not a perfect system as I sometimes loose the first image edges but I never have a problem with scratches in the image area.

  2. Carol,

I just respool freehand in a darkroom. The issue here is the Arista film
(Fomapan) which is hypersensitive. Some of these scratches may very
well be happening in camera. Never had any problem respooling Tri-X
    or Neopan.
