2015 RayKo Plastic Camera Show

Happy to say that I'll have two images in the upcoming 8th Annual RayKo Plastic Camera Show in sunny and warm San Francisco, CA. "Black Horse #2" is an acrylic gel transfer on aluminum roof flashing with a high gloss epoxy resin coating. The image was printed on office superstore copy paper and further deconstructed with all that other epoxy and resin stuff. I shot this image with a flipped-lens Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash camera in Spring Valley, Prince Edward Island this past summer. The other image, "Around the Bend",  was in the recent Krappy Kamera show in New York. This was also shot in (Lower Darnley) Prince Edward Island this past summer with a flipped-lens Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera with very expired film. I printed this one as your basic, run-of-the-mill pigment inkjet print.
So if you are in the Bay area in the next couple of months, check out this show. It opens on Wednesday, March 11th (RayKo Photo Center, 428 Third St, San Francisco) and runs through May 3rd. There are many wonderful plastic camera photographers in this show and the openings are always the best.

  1. Wow, Jim, those are absolutely stunning images - congratulations! As always, I'm extraordinarily impressed by your creativity in pushing the boundaries of this work, and the magic you create as a result. And I'm excited that I'll get to see these in person!
