Lower Pond #8

I'm thinking that this blog might be a good place for posting alternate versions of images that I have posted previously, either here or on Flickr. I posted another version of this on Flickr a few weeks ago. That image was also made with a Holga camera but in different weather conditions; a winter fog that the sun had almost completely burned off by the time I shot the image.

I made this image a couple of weeks later on an early winter morning when the pond was almost entirely frozen over and the sun was reflecting off of the pond's frozen surface. It's shot almost exactly from the same vantage point (behind those branches) as the earlier version, so I never bothered to post it on Flickr. But instead of relegating it to my ever-growing folder of un-posted images, I think I'll just leave it here.

  1. I'm glad you decided to post it - two kinds of light, each beautiful in a different way.

  2. Thanks J. Hoping to post more "duplicate" images here in the future.
