My image (now titled) "Afloat" has been accepted into the "Among Trees" show at the Dark Room Gallery in Essex Junction, VT. The juror for this show was Beth Moon. The show will run from August 2 through August 26.
This particular image is an ink transfer onto baltic birch plywood and coated with several coats of polyurethane.

Congrats, Jim. Birch + supersauce = spooky goodness. I didn't make the cut for the "Among Trees" show, but I will have a picture in the "Toyed With" show in Durango next month.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jim! This is stunning ... I imagine it must look amazing in person!
ReplyDeleteThanks David, I recognized that photo in the Toyed With Gallery as being unmistakably yours. I have a couple of shots in that show and I'll post some info on those when I get a chance.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacki. You have an image in this show as well, right?
Thanks V.
Yes, I'll be posting about it soon. Thanks again for the heads up about this one!
DeleteAnd I thought that one was David's when I saw it :-)
Isn't it interesting how a small band of wackos with plastic cameras has come together in the vast wasteland of the internets?
DeleteSo, you're callin' me a wacko, eh?
DeleteWell, if the strait jacket fits...
ReplyDeleteAnd I blissfully include myself in the group.
