My image "Black Horse" is in the current (April 2015) issue of The Hand magazine opposite a wonderful Kelsey Van Horn monotype and Xerox Transfer of a horse titled "Anatomy" (each horse gets it's own page in the spread).
The Hand is always so well designed with a great flow of imagery. I love being published in such a great magazine dedicated to reproduction-based artwork. https://thehandmagazine.wordpress.com/
"Black Horse" was photographed last summer in South Granville, Prince Edward Island using a Brownie Hawkeye Flash with a flipped lens and very expired film. The resulting print is an acrylic gel transfer on aluminum (roof flashing) coated with high gloss epoxy resin.

Congratulations, Jim! That is a wonderful photograph - I'm happy that I know that not just from the screen but from having seen it in person! And it sounds as if it's delightfully sequenced.
ReplyDeleteThis is Kelsey Van Horn's image which really makes this spread. http://lithographicapress.com/#60-portfolio/1/68-anatomy
